What is your specialism?

 

I’m a residential conveyancing solicitor, also sometimes known as a property lawyer, and a partner with the firm.

 

What qualifications and experience do you have?

 

I have been qualified as a solicitor since 2003. I deal with all aspects of residential property including selling and buying property, transfer of equity, equity release  and leasehold matters including lease extensions. As a partner of the firm I am also the compliance officer for legal practice and complaints. 

 

What type of work do you do on a day-to-day basis?

 

  • Dealing with all aspects of selling a property
  • Dealing with all aspects of buying a property
  • Dealing with leasehold matters including lease extensions
  • Dealing with transfer of equity
  • Dealing with equity release
  • Updating title registers at the land registry
  • Drafting declarations of trust
  • Registering notices and restrictions against title documents
  • All aspects of conveyancing linked to matrimonial matters such separation and divorce 

 

Why do you enjoy your work?

 

I enjoy being part of what, for many, is one of the biggest things they will undertake in their lives with the buying or selling of a property and all that entails. My aim is to ensure the matters progress as smoothly and as quickly as possible whilst ensuring my clients are kept updated and fully understand the process.
